Happy 2007

Welcome to 2007!

2006 was an interesting year. I learned a lot of things about myself in 2006, and one of those things is that I need a better way to share my experiences with my family and friends. This year, I plan on using this Blog to share my adventures.

2007 has the potential to be much more interesting. I look forward to sharing those adventures with you.

My favorite wish for New Years and every day:
"May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you're wonderful, and don't to forget make some art -- write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself." ~ Neil Gaiman

Here are a few things about myself, and more will follow.

Currently Reading:
The Looking Glass Wars

Currently Listening:
Mao: The Unknown Story

Pets:
Cats: Phobos, Deimos, Cassini, Pandora, Oberon
Fish
Worms

Happy new year, sweetie

we miss you guys so much. any chance you two will eventually re-locate permanantly back here??

can't wait to read your blog as it develops.

here's my update: 2 cats (Dobby & Phoebe)
2006 SUCKED ROCKS:
- had to have a (rather emergency) hysterectomy in March, bronchitis (followed by whooping cough) in the fall, and kidney stone in November.

I am in therapy (something I really probably needed long ago, but only John had the balls to tell me that back then), and things are "progressing"

working on the beginning of the adoption process:

step 1: passports

we miss you --- can't wait to know more

(p.s. -- when do you come back to visit? We are saving up vacation time, and can't spare ANY (except 3 at Pennsic in August) -- saving up baby time - since there's no paid maternity leave at most companies -- if I want paid - I must use vacatin.

Whoh, Paula, you did have a crappy 2006. I hope that things go much better in 2007 and that the adoption process goes well.

As for re-locating to Cinci... we are keeping our options open, but I wouldn't count on it. We already know that my allergies are really bad in Cinci/NKy. I was back for a wedding last fall (only in town for about 24 hours) and my allergies about knocked me out. We'll see if the Ragweed Allergy Vaccine gets FDA approval.

We are working on our family visit schedule for the spring, but I need to start saving vacation time for my (hopefully) 9 week trip to the International Space University trip this summer. More about that in the blog as things develop.

Great to hear from you. Keep in touch.
